This page is meant to show lost people how to accept Jesus as their Savior that they may live in Heaven for eternity. Salvation is not a particular procedure or a specific prayer. It is simply a heartfelt dedication to follow God and ask Jesus to save you from sin.
Know you're a sinner
- "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
- ―Romans 3:23
First off, one must believe that they are a sinner (one who has done wrong of any sort) and confess this to God. One must become humble and realize that perfection is needed for Heaven, and we are all far from it. One must then realize that it is impossible to get to Heaven on our own.
Jesus is the Way
- "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
- ―Romans 6:23
After one realizes their sinful nature, they must then realize that Jesus is the only way to God. One must believe Jesus died for every sin every man has, is, and will ever commit. They must believe that Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, and that nothing else can gain us eternal life.
- "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
- ―Romans 10:9
After one realizes Jesus is the only Way, they must then pray for Jesus to come into their heart and save them from sin. One must completely give their life to Jesus and His service. One's complete trust must be in Christ for salvation.
- "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
- ―James 1:27
When one becomes a Christian, it is very important to work to further God's Kingdom. You can do this by reading and meditating on the Bible, praying to God, and trying your hardest to do what's right. Be assurred, nothing can take your salvation away from you, not even yourself. Once saved, you have nothing to fear. This, however, is not an excuse to live a life of worldly lusts, knowing you are forgiven. God disciplines us as His children, and we should walk in His paths.
